My name is Keaton, and I founded Whimsy after going through the process of planning my own wedding and all of the additional events that accompanied that glorious year. As a Lowcounty, SC native who was practically taught the ABCs of hosting a good southern soirée before I was taught my actual ABCs, I expected my wedding year to be a breeze. What I came to realize, however, was that half of the magic in celebrations lies in your ability to be present enough to enjoy them.

Surprising to everyone after a lifetime of earning the title of the "planner friend", I gave up the reigns to my own wedding year. I hired a planner, let friends throw me showers, took a backseat for my bachelorette, and what came from that was absolute joy. I was able to transition from my normal role of host into the special role of guest, and it gave me a chance to live inside every moment in such a special way.

Now, it is my mission to pass that gift on to those who seek to be present in their own celebrations. Whether it is a monumental milestone like a wedding event or store opening, or just another supper club among friends, there is always room for more whimsy!
